Service Credit Terms

1. Scope
These Service Credit Terms govern credits made available for eligible Airlingo usage (“Service Credits”). They supplement Airlingo's Terms of Service. If these Service Credit Terms conflict with the Terms of Service, these Service Credit Terms control only for Service Credits.
2. Credit Types
Airlingo may offer the following types of Service Credits:
- Included Subscription Credits: credits included with an active paid Pro subscription for the applicable billing cycle.
- Paid Service Credits: credits purchased through a credit top-up or automatic top-up flow.
- Promotional Credits: credits granted at no additional charge for promotions, support, testing, goodwill, or similar purposes.
3. Eligible Use
Service Credits may be used only for eligible Airlingo features shown in the Services or disclosed at the time of grant or purchase. Eligible premium usage may include high-quality translation, word matching or alignment, lexical simplification and explanations, entity or context explanations, OCR, high-quality TTS, and related cloud-backed reading assistance.
Limited local browser features may remain available without Service Credits where supported, but free access is limited and does not include the full Pro feature surface.
4. Purchase and Auto Top-Up
Paid Service Credit top-ups may be available only to eligible paid Pro subscribers. Prices, credit amounts, taxes, and any expiration terms are shown at checkout or in your account.
If you enable automatic top-up, you authorize Airlingo and its payment processors to charge your saved payment method for the selected credit pack when your balance reaches the disclosed trigger. You can disable automatic top-up through the billing controls made available in your account.
5. What Credits Are Not
Service Credits are not bank deposits, stored value accounts, digital wallets, currency, legal tender, securities, or personal property rights. Except where required by law or expressly stated by Airlingo, Service Credits are not refundable, redeemable, exchangeable, transferable, or convertible into cash or monetary value.
6. Expiration, Reset, and Forfeiture
- Promotional Credits expire as disclosed in the applicable offer or account view.
- Included Subscription Credits generally reset or expire at the end of the applicable billing cycle unless your plan states otherwise.
- Paid Service Credits expire according to the policy shown at checkout or in your account.
- If your subscription ends, is canceled, expires, downgrades, or becomes inactive, unused included credits may expire or be forfeited.
7. Credit Consumption and Balances
Airlingo may determine the order in which Service Credits are consumed. Unless otherwise stated, Airlingo may apply Promotional Credits first, then Included Subscription Credits, then Paid Service Credits.
Credit balances shown in your account are provided for convenience and may be adjusted for failed payments, refunds required by law, chargebacks, fraud, abuse, account corrections, or technical errors.
8. Taxes, Refunds, and Failed Payments
Applicable taxes, duties, fees, or similar charges may be added based on your billing location and the laws that apply to your purchase. Except where required by law, purchases of Paid Service Credits are final and non-refundable.
Credits may be withheld, revoked, or removed if payment fails, a transaction is reversed, a chargeback is filed, or Airlingo reasonably believes the credits were obtained through fraud, abuse, or error.
9. Restrictions
You may not:
- sell, transfer, assign, gift, trade, or broker Service Credits;
- use Service Credits in violation of law or Airlingo policy;
- attempt to manipulate credit grants, balances, consumption, or expiration; or
- obtain Service Credits through fraud, deception, unauthorized access, or chargeback abuse.
10. Changes and Termination
Airlingo may update these Service Credit Terms, change credit availability, modify eligible uses, or suspend credit access where permitted by law, including for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, product changes, account termination, or discontinuation of a feature.
