v0.2.0-beta.1

First public beta release of Airlingo, also tracked internally as v0.2.0.1.

First public beta release. Also tracked internally as v0.2.0.1.

Released on June 14, 2026.

Deep Read

  • Added the Airlingo Chrome extension reading surface for serious second-language readers.
  • Added hover-first preview cards so help appears on the active sentence instead of replacing the page with full bilingual translation.
  • Added active and standby Deep Read states, with activation through hover, Airlingo mark, hold gesture, context menu, and extension popup controls.
  • Added sentence-anchored preview behavior so the card follows the reading sentence while the original page remains primary.

Reading features

  • Added lexical simplification for difficult source-language words and phrases, keeping the sentence readable without turning it into a translation task.
  • Added context dictionary sense selection so the extension chooses the meaning that fits the sentence.
  • Added knowledge linking for mentioned people, places, organizations, and other entities.
  • Added context translation for cases where simplification is not enough, with source and target word matching.
  • Added sentence speech with token-following playback for the active sentence.
  • Added image text reading for screenshots and scene images that contain readable text.
  • Added multilingual reading support for English, Chinese, German, and French.

Read Modes

  • Added Standard, Fast, and Pro modes.
  • Standard balances quality and speed for everyday reading.
  • Fast prioritizes lower-latency help.
  • Pro prioritizes higher context fidelity.
  • Airlingo handles model routing behind the mode so readers do not need to choose model names.

Web and onboarding

  • Added the public homepage around the slogan: Read Deep, Sense More.
  • Added an interactive product demo that teaches the hover-first reading workflow before sign-up.
  • Added feature highlights for simplification, dictionary, knowledge linking, context translation, sentence speech, image text reading, multilingual support, Deep Read toggle, and Read Modes.
  • Added pricing and FAQ copy for beta access, credits, and onboarding.
  • Added account-aware web navigation for signed-in and signed-out visitors.

Docs

  • Added public documentation for getting started, Deep Read behavior, reading features, Read Modes, credits, and support.
  • Added changelog pages with a left page tree and right in-page table of contents.

Beta notes

  • Airlingo is in public beta, so behavior and pricing may change before the stable release.
  • Credits are required for cloud-backed reading features such as context translation, lexical simplification, dictionary sense selection, knowledge linking, sentence speech, and image text reading.
  • PDF reading is not supported in this beta.
